Restorative Yoga is for all levels and all styles, especially those of us who are limited by injury, illness, chronic arthritis, or joint replacements. A gentle yoga practice will warm and relax the body and center the mind. We will explore supportive and healing postures that promote well-being and restore a sense of balance. Wear comfortable clothing and bring along any props you like, such as bolsters, blankets, straps, and blocks. Chairs will be available for those of us who will not be practicing seated postures on the floor. Please contact your health care provider to discuss concerns and your readiness to attend.
Introduction to Power Yoga, Beginners
Saturday, Oct. 8
1:00 – 3:30pm, The Butterfly House
This workshop is designed for students who have never participated in power yoga classes before. So don’t be shy, everyone will be in the same boat! In fact, no prior yoga experience is required. We will learn proper breathing techniques, foundational poses that make up the sun salutations, safe ways of moving and breathing, how to link one pose to the next, and helpful tips to slip into relaxation.
*Power yoga is a physically demanding practice; please check with your health care provider before attending if you have any concerns.
